Product design mobile SaaS 2026
Field sales,
in motion.
Redesigning a field-sales platform around the reality of a rep’s day: where am I, what is my status, and what should I do next?

Project overview
A daily workspace.
Not a feature menu.
Kothay already supported sales territories, field staff, shops, attendance, orders, and deliveries. The redesign focused on turning that operational complexity into a mobile experience that supports the next action in a rep’s workday.
- Role
- Product / UI/UX Designer
- Scope
- UX audit, flows, IA, UI & prototyping
- Users
- Field representatives, managers & owners
- Platform
- Android mobile application
The problem
The product worked.
The workflow did not.
Critical actions must be legible while attention is divided.
Progress needs to be understood at a glance.
Confidence in an action cannot depend on a stable network.
01 — UX audit
I mapped the complete representative journey before redesigning individual screens.
A state-aware
control centre.
The previous experience exposed attendance, shops, orders, zones, targets, and reports as equal destinations. But a representative does not think in product modules—they think in the sequence of the day.
- StartCheck in and understand today’s target
- RouteFind an assigned zone and next shop
- VisitCollect an order or submit a visit result
- ContinueManage breaks, progress, and checkout
02 — Next-action design
One day.
One clear route.
The redesigned home experience prioritises a rep’s current status, daily progress, and the single action that should happen next. The interface carries the cognitive load so the user does not have to reconstruct their workday every time they open the app.
- Current state: checked in, on break, visiting, or finished
- Today’s visits, orders, and target progress
- Assigned zone and next shop
- A decisive primary action for the current state

03 — Field conditions
Designed for
the real world.
Field work changed the interaction standard. Larger touch targets support one-handed use; strong contrast improves legibility in varied light; and visual hierarchy ensures that primary actions never compete with secondary information.
- Clear status before action
- High-contrast, touch-friendly controls
- Direct action language and Bangla-first usability
- Operational clarity over dashboard density
04 — Confidence in the field
Every action needs
a clear state.
Offline-ready orders
Captured. Stored. Synced.
For actions that can continue offline, the system needs to make captured, pending, and synced status unmistakable. “Did my order go through?” should never be ambiguous.
Territory as context
Zones are part of the day.
Assigned areas, available shops, and visit progress are connected in one flow—so reps do not need to mentally combine separate systems to know where to work.
05 — Outcome
A clearer way to
move through the day.
Current status and next actions help reps keep momentum.
Targets and progress are visible without turning the home screen into a reporting dashboard.
The redesign improves the field interaction layer while respecting the existing operational system.
Kothay evolved from a collection of field-sales capabilities into a daily operational workspace for the people doing the work.
